SASSA October 2026 Payment Dates CONFIRMED - Full Official Schedule

 


SASSA has officially released the payment dates for October 2026! If you receive Older Persons, Disability, or Children's grants, here is when you will be paid.


According to the SASSA 2026/2027 official payment schedule, October payments will start early in the month.


Official SASSA October 2026 Payment Dates:


- Older Persons Grant: Thursday, 2 October 2026

- Disability Grant: Monday, 5 October 2026

- Children's Grants (Child Support, Foster Child, Care Dependency): Tuesday, 6 October 2026

- SRD R370 Grant: 20-28 October 2026 (Paid in batches)


Grant Amounts for October 2026:


- Old Age Grant (60-74 years): R2,400

- Old Age Grant (75+ years): R2,420

- Disability Grant: R2,400

- War Veterans Grant: R2,420

- Child Support Grant: R580

- Child Support Top-Up: R580 + R280

- Foster Child Grant: R1,290

- Care Dependency Grant: R2,400

- SRD Grant: R370


Important Information:


1. SASSA pays Older Persons first, then Disability, then Children's grants. If your pay date falls on a weekend or public holiday, you will be paid on the next working day.


2. You do NOT need to rush to withdraw your money on the pay date. Your money will stay in your account until you need it.


3. SRD R370 is different - it is paid at the END of the month from 20-28 October. You will receive an SMS when your money is ready.
