SASSA SRD R370 Payment Dates - September 2026


According to SASSA official update yesterday (23 September 2026):


- 23 and 25 September 2026 - Main SRD payment days (SASSA confirmed)

- 24 to 30 September 2026 - Full batch window - Bank accounts, Retail cash-out (Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay, Boxer), Postbank Black Card


If you use bank account: Standard Bank and Capitec clear first, ABSA and FNB by Wednesday


How much is SRD this month?


Still R370. The court case talked about R450 but SASSA says R370 for September, October, November, December 2026. Any increase will only start 1 April 2027.


Why your SRD is declined? The R624 rule


SASSA checks your bank. If total money IN in one month is R624 or more, you are declined that month. This includes:

- Salary

- Money from family / eWallet

- Loans, Stokvel payout, rent money
